Does anyone know when the NSF will announce the results of the Nov 14-15 meeting? I submitted a proposal and was hoping to share some good news with the SCs.

You can contact your program officer for a status update once a bit more time has passed, but you shouldn't expect to hear anything for at least a couple more weeks. Based on my previous experience, get ready to wait approximately 10 million years.

Spring round took one month to hear back after the advisory panel met. The panel also met at the beginning of May so it was a total of 4 months between submission deadline and award announcements. Hopefully this round moves more quickly.

If they're anything like NIJ, probably March, 2016.
But seriously, I'm not sure, but they can't possibly be any slower than NIJ's 9 month turnaround time on their graduate fellowships.
Best security code EVER: "patience, child" (I'm not making that up...)

Does anyone know when decisions will be made and announced on the NSF dissertation improvement grants with October application deadline?

Some folks I know have gotten rejections from Diss Improvement proposals recently.

Got my rejection yesterday morning with two completely half-assed reviews It's a lot of work to submit an NSF dissertation improvement grant that involves multiple people. I can handle a rejection but they should at least take their own process seriously.

^The half-assed reviews are so frustrating at NSF. I was rejected a couple of years ago because an idiotic reviewer simply didn't read my proposal and went ballistic that I didn't deal with topic X. Topic X spanned a total of three proposal pages, hitting on each of the major points raised by reviewer idiot. My other evaluations were 'excellent' but his/hers was 'poor' and it sank my proposal. I still start burning up every time I think about it.

I had a similarly disappointing experience a few years back. Submitted a DDIG proposal. Ethnographic study. Reviewer's 'key question' was "How do I intend to measure my variables?"

Are rejections going out by email? Has anyone gotten a yes to funding yet?

I got a yes to funding yesterday by email. I had similar experiences to those posted above last year, but I addressed the reviewers' concerns (those that I felt were legitimate) and resubmitted this year.

I want to know if posters responding to NSF, who say they've gotten rejections or funding, are referring to NSF dissertation improvement grants with deadlines this past October 15 or if they're referring to some other NSF proposals.
I thought everyone would receive notifications at the same time, but if the above posters are all referring to the October 15 one, then it would seem NSF is letting people know on some kind of rolling basis...
Any clues?

Not everyone hears at the same time. A colleague and I both received dissertation improvement grants last year, but she heard three weeks before me. I think it has to do with the program officer you are assigned and how quickly they process your application. Get ready to wait.
