MISSISSIPPI STATE UNIVERSITY— The Department of Sociology invites applicants for a non-tenure track Assistant Teaching Professor position beginning Fall 2024. The candidate must have knowledge of Sociology and will be expected to enhance the teaching mission of the Criminology and Sociology undergraduate majors and Sociology graduate degree programs through development and rigor of on-campus courses and distance courses.
The department has more than 120 undergraduate social work majors (BSW), plus majors in criminology (BS) and sociology (BS, MS, PhD). The department has strong ties to the African American Studies Program, Gender Studies Program, the Research and Training Center on Blindness and Low Vision, the Social Science Research Center, the National Strategic Planning & Analysis Research Center, and the Southern Rural Development Center.
