Sociology/Criminal Justice Studies
Westminster College, New Wilmington, Pennsylvania. The Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice Studies invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level to begin in January or August of 2012. We seek a sociologist specializing in Deviance and Race and Ethnicity to contribute to both our Criminal Justice Studies and Sociology majors. Willingness and ability to teach quantitative data analysis, to supervise Sociology Capstone research and to advise and supervise Criminal Justice Studies majors is also needed. Possibility of teaching a CJS special topics course, and in other areas, also exists. Advanced ABD candidates will be considered. The successful candidate will be highly committed to teaching excellence in addition to scholarship and service in a liberal arts environment.
Westminster College is a coeducational, national liberal arts institution that enrolls approximately 1,600 students and approximately 105 full-time faculty. It is located in rural western Pennsylvania and is within easy driving distance of both Pittsburgh and Cleveland.
