La Salle University in Philadelphia has two open positions (positions close 3/18). 1) La Salle University’s Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice invites applications for a full-time, tenure track position at the rank of Assistant Professor, beginning in August 2022. The department is seeking candidates who research and teach in the area of a) courts/law/sociolegal studies and/or b) race, ethnicity, crime and criminal justice. The teacher-scholar model embraced by the University requires faculty to teach a 3-3 load pre-tenure, and the opportunity to maintain a 3-3 teaching load post-tenure by pursuing an active research agenda. 2) La Salle University’s Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice invites applications for an Assistant Professor position, 3-Year Appointment beginning in August 2022. The successful candidate will be a generalist and able to teach a wide range of criminal justice courses. Preference will be given to candidates with backgrounds in both sociology and criminal justice who are able to teach research methods and/or statistics. The faculty member will teach eight courses per nine-month academic year (four per semester). This is not a tenure-track position and does not require research responsibilities. Candidates from underrepresented groups and/or those with expertise in diversity, equity, inclusion, and social justice are strongly encouraged to apply. lasalle.peopleadmin.com/postings/search?utf8=%E2%9C%93&query=&query_v0_posted_at_date=&query_position_type_id%5B%5D=3&435=&commit=Search
