This one seemingly being re-advertised with a February 2022 closing date after an earlier very similar advertisement that closed in November 2021. I don't recall the "study of mental health disparities during the pandemic" from the earlier advertisement, but don't take that memory to the bank.
The Department of Sociology at Purdue University invites applications for a tenure-track Advanced Assistant Professor position in the area of health disparities with a focus on racial inequality. To complement departmental growing strengths, we are especially interested in those who study adolescent and young adult health, including mental health and well-being disparities as a consequence of social position.
Qualifications The position requires (1) a Ph.D. degree in sociology and (2) quantitative methodological skills. We prefer candidates who can contribute to the Advanced Methods at Purdue program through research that utilizes cutting-edge social science research methods and tools. Being able to teach race and ethnicity is a plus. Applicants who have expertise in the study of mental health disparities during the pandemic are encouraged to apply.
