USC Upstate is seeking applicants for two tenure-track Assistant Professors of Criminal Justice to begin on August 16, 2022. The duties include teaching four courses per semester, maintaining an active research agenda, and engaging in departmental and campus-wide service-related activities, including advising Criminal Justice majors. A strong commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching and advising, along with scholarly activity and service, is expected.

Required Education and Experience
Candidates must have an earned doctorate in Criminal Justice or a closely-related field by the start date of employment and the ability to teach a wide range of Criminal Justice courses. ABD candidates with planned completion dates by August 15, 2022, are welcome to apply. Substantive areas of expertise are open, but candidates with interests in crime analysis, courts, policing and/or ethics are encouraged to apply. A JD only is not sufficient to be considered. A successful background check is required.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience developing and teaching online courses is preferred.
