USC Upstate is seeking applicants for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice to begin on January 1, 2022. The duties include: teaching four courses per semester, maintaining an active research agenda, and engaging in departmental and campus-wide service-related activities, including advising Criminal Justice majors. A strong commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching and advising, along with scholarly activity and service, is expected.

Required Education and Experience
Candidates must have an earned doctorate in Criminal Justice or a closely-related field by the start date of employment and the ability to teach a wide range of Criminal Justice courses. Substantive areas of expertise are open, but candidates with interests in crime analysis, courts, policing, and/or ethics are encouraged to apply. (Note: JD alone is not sufficient. ABD candidates with planned completion dates by 12/31/21 are welcome to apply.) A successful background check is required.
