Fairmont State University seeks candidates for a full-time tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level in Sociology, effective August 2021. While area of expertise is open, we are specifically interested in candidates with teaching expertise and/or scholarly interests in research methods and statistics. Ph.D. preferred, but ABD candidates will be considered.
Applicants must have a strong commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching and college-level teaching experience is highly desirable. Primary teaching responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, courses in introduction to sociology, behavioral statistics and research methods, survey design and sociological theory. Interest in interdisciplinary work across the whole curriculum is a plus.
