Is this for gender, race & ethnicity or med soc? Both ads state, "review of applications will begin January 8th."

Oh in my comment 2 comments above, I was referring to my application for the crim position, which started reviewing apps in early December. But I have no insider info and probably didn't even make the first cut.

Received a rejection letter for the med soc job: "We have now narrowed the applicant pool to those we are considering for “on-campus” interviews; I regret to report that you were not among them, and as a result, we will not be pursuing your candidacy further."

Given that most departments, if not all, are doing remote "on-sites," I wonder how big is the finalists pool in this search or any other searches?
In normal years, this number would be probably 3, but this year I assume they can interview more folks?
