The UWSP Department of Sociology and Social Work seeks candidates who can teach courses in the following areas: introduction to sociology, sociological theory, race and ethnicity, and criminology. Teaching assignments will typically be 12 credits per semester and will be split between the main campus and the Wausau campus. This is fixed-term, 9-month Instructional Academic Staff position for the 2021-2022 academic year. Acceptance of this position does not guarantee ongoing employment beyond the contract period, however the employee will be considered for any future contracts per budget and instructional need. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Benefits include University of Wisconsin insurance, retirement, and vacation package. Required Qualifications: M.A. or M.S. in Sociology Strong interest and commitment to undergraduate teaching Strong interest and commitment to teaching and serving diverse populations Preferred Qualifications: Ph.D. in Sociology Experience with distance education teaching and technology
