App State had two tenure lines open, both with review dates beginning on November 20, 2020.
1 was for " political sociology; economic inequality; sociology of religion; and/or environmental sociology." 2 was for "criminology, deviance, and law"
Any news on either line can be posted here (but be sure to specify which line you're talking about if you post!).

Joke's on me. I didn't get a rejection because it turns out I wrote the materials and never actually submitted them

App State hires every year because faculty are constantly quitting because it's a toxic department. So if you missed this year they'll probably hire next year.

Have people been contacted for additional info or interviews for the "political/economic/religion/environment' position?

True in the past, but they removed their former chair and haven't lost anyone under their new one. A lot of the toxic faculty retired or are in the process of doing so and they are filling those lines.
