Missouri State University - 2021 Sociology Assistant Professor, Tenure-Track Position
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in sociology by time of appointment, college teaching experience, a demonstrated ability to conduct academic research, and a demonstrated commitment to public sociology. Scholarly activity and publication are required for tenure and promotion. The sociology program supports the University’s public affairs mission by focusing on community-engaged research and teaching, and offering a curriculum that promotes cultural competency. We collaborate with local non-profits on advocacy work, providing research opportunities for students and faculty. Opportunities for collaboration exist with multiple academic units across the University. The faculty are committed to transformative social justice and anti-racism. Research active faculty have a 3-3 teaching load.
