Hi, I just received an R & R from ASR. I was wondering if this type of information is something that I ought to relay to the search committees or if it's not worthy of note and I should not bother updating. Thank you for your thoughts.

What could it hurt? I'd say definitely if you know that you are on the long list, short list, or have had a phone interview. On the other hand, if you were not in the running and the school has already scheduled interviews, it is unlikely to be a game changer.

I would notify all schools. Search committee always have the option of going back to the pool in the case of failed searches.
