Anyone else notice how they've added more required documents (diversity statement and research statement) after the deadline and made it sound like applicants misunderstood??
These are new doc they want suddenly, correct?

I uploaded TS and evaluations (portfolio) separately. But that's not even the point - they now suddenly want a separate research statement & diversity statement uploaded.
So incompetent. How hard is it to write a job ad with a modicum of clarity.

Didn't they always want the research statement? I had submitted everything but the diversity statement, but had one on hand so wasn't such a big deal. What was the confusion to start with? The whole thing is weird and annoying.

There was not a place to submit a research statement or a diversity statement when I applied, though there were spots for both a teaching statement and a teaching portfolio. Last night I added a diversity statement to the new upload space and also a research statement under "additional materials." My teaching statement had been moved to the additional material area, so I removed it? (My teaching portfolio was still attached.) So confusing.

So they added the research statement later? It was there when I submitted, and that was a few weeks before the deadline. My teaching statement was also moved to "other documents" - so I added one to the teaching portfolio, and then deleted the old one and added a diversity statement. They're going to have a heck of a time going through everything.

And does anyone know whether they're only considering sociologists, or if they're considering anthropologists as well? It's a combined department.
