The Department of Sociology at Temple University seeks to hire a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Urban Sociology for Fall 2020. We are particularly interested in researchers whose work also addresses issues related to race and ethnicity, gender and sexuality, health, policy and/or globalization. This faculty member is expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in urban sociology, as well as specialized and advanced courses in their area(s) of interest. We welcome scholars who use qualitative, quantitative, or mixed methodological approaches. Applicants should submit a letter of intent, a curriculum vitae, two to three samples of written work, a statement of teaching interests, experience, and philosophy, and a statement that addresses how the applicant envisions contributing to university and department goals of diversity and inclusion.
