The Department of Sociology at Appalachian State University invites applications for two tenure-track, nine-month faculty positions at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning August 2020. Both positions require a PhD in Sociology. Candidates who are ABD will be considered, however the positions require completion of all doctoral requirements in Sociology by the date of appointment.
We seek candidates with expertise and teaching interest in research methods and data analysis. Faculty members are expected to maintain an active program of scholarship as well as participate in service activities. Throughout their teaching, research, and service duties, the successful applicant should promote diversity and inclusive excellence.
