St. Norbert College, a nationally ranked, residential liberal arts institution with an enrollment of 2,200 students, invites applications for a full-time, tenure track Assistant Professor of Sociology specializing in family sociology, with additional academic background/interests in social welfare, race, or class, beginning August 2020. The position requires a Ph.D. in Sociology at the time of appointment. A demonstrated commitment to undergraduate teaching in a liberal arts setting is essential.
Responsibilities include teaching three classes per semester, advising students, maintaining an active research agenda, and collegial service. The successful candidate will design and teach courses in Sociology that support the Sociology major, the Human service minor, and the College’s Core Curriculum program.
