The Department of Sociology at Montclair State University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning Fall 2020. We seek a sociologist with expertise in Medical Sociology/ Sociology of Health with strong quantitative skills. Proficiency in R is a plus. Ability to teach undergraduate and graduate courses on race is desirable. The successful candidate will be contributing both to the undergraduate program and the MA program in Social Research and Analysis by offering courses in their areas of specialization as well as advanced methodological courses. They are expected to create internal and external partnerships for the MA program. All candidates are expected to show scholarly productivity and excellence in teaching. Evidence of successful grant acquisitions or future plans will also be considered. Ph.D. in Sociology. Doctorate should be completed by August 1, 2020.
