The Department of Sociology at Florida Atlantic University invites applications for three appointments at the rank of assistant professor.
For the first position, the successful candidate will specialize in the broadly defined areas of globalization, global inequalities, human rights, and/or the political economy of Latin America.
For the second position,the successful candidate will employ quantitative research methodology to study social class and other social inequalities.
For the third position,the successful candidate will specialize in the area(s) of aging and health.
The hired candidates will teach primarily on the Boca Raton campus, with a minor assignment on the Davie campus.
Faculty typically teach a 3-2 course schedule. Faculty teach and mentor undergraduate and graduate students in the department's Bachelor's and Master's Degree program.
The Department of Sociology at Florida Atlantic University also invites applications for an appointment at the rank of Instructor.
The candidate will teach primarily on the Davie campus. The teaching load will be 4-4.
The successful candidate will be an excellent classroom teacher, will teach undergraduate research methods each semester, and will be able to offer a broad repertoire of substantive courses in the BA curriculum.
