East Tennessee State University - Assistant Professor, Criminology/Criminal JusticeJob Summary:The Department of Criminal Justice & Criminology invites applications for one full-time tenure-track faculty position, at the rank of Assistant Professor, to begin Fall 2018. The expected salary for this nine month contract position is $50,000. Preference will be given to candidates with teaching and student advisement experience along with knowledge of criminal justice curriculum design and online course development. Successful candidates should be able to teach a mix of undergraduate and graduate courses on and off campus and be able to conduct scholarly research. The department offers both BA and BS degrees, an MA degree, and a graduate certificate program. The department serves approximately 500 undergraduate students and 40 graduate students. The department currently has five tenure-track faculty, two lecturers, and numerous part—time faculty. Required Qualifications:Earned doctorate in criminal justice, criminology, or related field at the time of appointment. Other disciplines (e.g., sociology, political science, education, administration, or international studies) may be considered, but must be accompanied by experience, background, or scholarship in areas of criminal justice or criminology.
