Simpson College (IA) - Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice, Sociology, or Human Services
The Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice at Simpson College, a private, nationally recognized regional college grounded in the liberal arts tradition and affiliated with the United Methodist Church invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position. Start date is August 2018. Successful candidates must have a commitment to a liberal arts education, and a willingness to engage students in scholarship, research and/or creative work. The primary responsibilities of the position include a teaching load of 3/3, student advising, and service to the department, college, and respective field. Both traditional classroom and an online environment of teaching are required, with additional teaching opportunities in summer months.
