The Department of Sociology at Framingham State University invites applicants for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of assistant professor beginning September 2018. As an established sociology department with a new and growing criminology major, we seek a criminologist or sociologist who specializes in crime with a focus on social inequalities, social justice, and/or critical perspectives. Example areas of specialization include but are not limited to: race and the criminal justice system, crime and inequalities, gender and crime, law and society, mass incarceration, and white-collar crime. The ability to teach quantitative research methods is a necessity.
