The Department of Sociology at the University of West Georgia solicits applications for one assistant professor position starting August 2017. A PhD in sociology or related discipline is required at the time of appointment. We are a growing department with teaching opportunities in our BS and MA degree programs. We seek applicants who can teach statistics with preference given to those who specialize in the sociology of health. Successful candidates need a strong commitment to teaching, an active research agenda, and dedication to service to the university and community. Applicants should submit a letter of interest, curriculum vitae, and contact information of three individuals who can speak to their qualifications for this position.
