University of Southern Maine (ME) - TT Assistant Professor, Criminology & Sociology
The University of Southern Maine invites applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor position in the Criminology, Economics, and Sociology Department. The primary area of specialization is open, but applicants are expected to have an established record of excellent and innovative undergraduate teaching in sociology and criminology, an active research program in both sociology and criminology, and a commitment to academic advising and university service. Preference will also be given to candidates whose area(s) of expertise complement existing strengths in both sociology and criminology. The teaching load is three courses per semester and opportunities exist to teach during both summer and winter sessions. The beginning date for the position is September 1, 2017.
