The Department of Sociology and Criminology & Law at the University of Florida is inviting applications for a 9-month Assistant Professor, starting August 2017. We seek scholars who conduct research on the relationship of crime to the biophysical environment. We are an interdisciplinary department that offers undergraduate and graduate degree programs in sociology and criminology. Successful applicants will contribute to both of our programs by demonstrable scholarly expertise in one or more of these fields: Environmental Criminology, Green Criminology, Environmental Health, Environmental Justice, and Conservation Criminology. Applicants who can also offer scholarly contributions to race-ethnicity are preferred. explore.jobs.ufl.edu/cw/en-us/job/499383/assistant-professor

Bump this. I know the deadline just passed, but I wonder if they will try to set up interviews before the new year.

No interviews until Spring semester. Dates TBD. Might not hurt to still send an application.

Have they contacted shortlisted candidates or scheduled interviews yet? Not certain, but very doubtful. I believe apps are still coming in.
