Princeton University. The Department of Sociology seeks to hire a tenured professor with proven expertise in comparative/historical and political sociology to begin in September 2012. I wonder if we should keep this board - or at least the New Position section - for not-tenured positions? This posting is for a senior hire. I have it on decent authority, as well, that Princeton won't be doing a junior search this year.

I like seeing all postings - since Princeton put this out, I now know not to expect another job posting from them. Maybe we can just indicate in the title that it for a tenured position?

Yes plus not everyone who uses this board is looking for a junior position. ;D
Maybe people can indicate in the title the rank of the hire? Or at least if it is not a junior hire (with the default being a junior hire).

That is fine by me (rank in title if not assistant prof position) and I'd guess for many others.
