Assistant or early Associate Professor, University of Wisconsin-Madison The Department of Sociology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison invites applications for a tenure-track or tenured position at the assistant or early associate professor rank beginning August 2017. Appointment will be 50% in the Department of Sociology and 50% time in American Indian Studies Program, Chican@ and Latin@ Studies Program, the Asian American Studies Program or the Department of Afro-American Studies. Tenure home will reside in the Department of Sociology. Research and teaching emphases should include sociological issues of race, ethnicity or American Indians/Native Americans in the U.S., including teaching one or more courses comparing U.S. racial, ethnic and American Indian groups and other courses appropriate for the participating programs. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. or equivalent prior to the start of the appointment and should demonstrate potential for excellence and productivity in research. Commitment to undergraduate and graduate teaching mission required.
