The Department of Sociology at Oklahoma State University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor rank with a Fall 2017 start date. We seek a scholar whose primary area of expertise is environmental sociology. Applicants with the ability to contribute to other areas of departmental specialization (inequality, social movements, social psychology, and crime/deviance), experience with grant writing, and/or the potential to secure extramural funding will be positively valued. We seek candidates with a research agenda, publications, and potential to develop a strong record of scholarship. The successful candidate will contribute to graduate training in environmental sociology and play a significant role in both the graduate and undergraduate teaching programs. Salary is competitive and negotiable.
