UMSL CCJ will be hiring one new tenure-track assistant professor, area of specialization is open, and UMSL focuses on quality of scholarship, not quantity of publications, so one or two pubs in ASA, Crim, CPP, JQ, etc. will go MUCH further than a bunch of first-author or solo pubs in bottom-tier journals. The Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice invites applicants for a new tenure-track (Assistant Professor) position beginning Fall 2017. Candidates from all substantive areas will be considered. Candidates must have the Ph.D. at the time of appointment, outstanding promise as a research scholar, and demonstrated teaching effectiveness. The department provides an active, theoretically and methodologically diverse research environment and strong support for research scholars.
