The Gender, Sexuality and Feminist Studies (GSFS) Program at Oberlin College invites applications for a full-time non-continuing faculty position in the College of Arts and Sciences. Appointment to this position will be for a term of one year beginning Fall 2016 and will carry the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor.

GSFS is a comprehensive interdisciplinary program committed to transnational perspectives exploring gender, race, class, and sexuality in relation to ethnicity, nationality, politics, and other categories of human experience.
Responsibilities
The incumbent will teach a total of five courses in the general area of gender and public health including an introduction to Gender Studies, an entry-level course in Gender and Public Health, and three courses in their area of expertise, at least one at the advanced level; transnational perspectives preferred.
Qualifications
Among the qualifications required for appointment is the Ph.D degree (in hand or expected by first semester of academic year 2016). Candidates must demonstrate interest and potential excellence in undergraduate teaching, and graduate-level training in gender studies. Successful teaching experience at the college level is desirable.

Compensation
Within the range established for this position, salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience and includes an excellent benefits package.
