I completed all my PhD requirements over the summer and am now on the job market. I was happy to finish, but now I am not officially affiliated with a university. My question is, what do I list as my affiliation when I submit articles for publication or to conferences? I can't really say I'm a grad student anymore. Any opinions on this?

That is a hard one. Is there any way you could work out an affiliation with your department? Like "Affiliate" or "independent researcher" or something? The only expectation on your end would be the affiliation and maybe a library card...
