Idaho State University is in Pocatello, which along with the adjoining city of Chubbuck makes up a small town area of about 75,000. It's about 2 hours north of Salt Lake City and close to Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks. People are pretty outdoor recreation oriented. For a smaller town, it's actually fairly diverse. The town culture is quite relaxed; university culture even more so. The department is very appreciative of diversity and would like to have more (of any kind).

When would interviews hypothetically occur? Winter like other schools, or would it possibly be in the middle of Fall?

My guess is that pending the machinations of the administration, skype/phone interviews will take place Octoberish with campus interviews beginning in November.
