Princeton Theological Seminary (NJ) - Congregational Studies
Princeton Theological Seminary invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor or tenured Associate Professor of Congregational Studies. Candidates should be either scholars of practical theology and a related social science that illumines congregational life, leadership, and practices, OR SOCIAL SCIENTISTS WHOSE SCHOLARLY WORK CONCENTRATES ON CONGREGATIONAL STUDIES. We would particularly welcome candidates whose work focuses on contemporary ecclesiology, organizational theory and management, leadership development, or changing demographics. The successful candidate will be appointed either at the rank of a tenure-track Assistant Professor or a tenured Associate Professor and must be qualified to guide interdisciplinary research, teach in all degree programs, including M.Div., M.A., M.A.(T.S.), and Th.M. students, supervise Ph.D. students, and serve as faculty in the Seminary's Program in Religion and Society. As Princeton Theological Seminary is related to the Presbyterian Church (USA), faculty members are expected to work constructively within an ecumenical and evangelical ethos informed by the Reformed Tradition. Women and candidates from underrepresented communities are especially encouraged to apply.
