RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Teach courses in Criminal Justice including Forensic Interviewing of a Child, Juvenile Justice, and other courses within the program as needed.
- Normally teach four classes each semester.
- Serve as academic advisor for Criminal Justice majors.
- Engage in scholarly activities as appropriate.
- Participate in university and department committees as appropriate.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ph.D., J.D. or active ABD in Criminal Justice or related field. The Ph.D. must be completed by date of hire.
- Ability to teach Forensic Interviewing of a Child.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ph.D., J.D. or active ABD in Criminal Justice or related field.
- College level teaching experience.
- Professional experience in Forensic Child Interviewing as evident in either (1) having completed Corner House Training or another nationally recognized training protocol; or (2) having participated in the forensic interview of a child, a minimum of 100 documented interviews is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability of scholarly activity.
- Research experience.
- Content and quality of graduate coursework.
- Relevant non-academic and/or professional work experience in the field.
