Full-time Lecturer Position, Sociology
The Department of Sociology & Anthropology at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley is accepting applications for three non-tenure track, 3-year Lecturer positions to begin in fall 2015. The Lecturer will be responsible for teaching four courses per semester in sociology on a variety of topics, including but not limited to, deviance, social stratification, race and ethnicity, gender and family. The Lecturer is expected to maintain regular office hours and a high degree of professionalism. Three-year Lecturer appointments are renewable based on favorable annual evaluations.
Required qualifications for appointment are: MA degree from an accredited university, with 18 hours of graduate Sociology coursework; ABD status or Ph.D. degree preferred.
