WVU will be posting for at least one but possibly two VAPs for Fall 2015. The "for sure" position will be for criminology with the possible second a more general position (i.e., intro and low-level electives). Look for ads by the end of the month - I'll post here if/when I see them.

It's only going to be one VAP starting Fall 2015 and its in criminology.

As promised:
The Department of Sociology and Anthropology at West Virginia University invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor in the area of criminology. Visiting appointments at WVU are renewable for a maximum of three years contingent upon continuing need. This position would begin August 2015.
We will consider candidates who can teach core courses, in both small- and large-enrollment sections, in the undergraduate criminology curriculum. Applicants should have received the Ph.D. or equivalent in sociology, criminology, or a closely related field by the start date. Candidates also will be evaluated on their demonstrated ability to teach and advise criminology and sociology majors.
Interested applicants should send electronic submissions (letter, CV, list of references and evidence of teaching excellence) as a single PDF to socpositions@mail.wvu.edu.
