Visiting Faculty Position in Sociology
The Department of Sociology and Anthropology invites applications for a two-semester visiting, non-tenure-track position in Sociology beginning August 2015. We seek candidates with expertise in international sociology with a comparative focus. Secondary areas could include one or two of the following subfields: urban sociology, environmental sociology, or social movements. The successful candidate will be expected to teach introduction to sociology, research methods and/or a class in their area of expertise. We also seek candidates with a strong commitment to high quality undergraduate education. The successful candidate will be expected to teach Introduction to Sociology as well as one or two upper-level courses in his/her area(s) of expertise. Applicants must hold a Master’s degree in Sociology, but preference will be given to those with a Ph.D. or who are nearing completion of a Ph.D.
