The Department of Sociology and the International Studies Program invite applications for a Tenure Track Assistant Professor position with a cutting-edge research program in global sociology, with a preference for any of the following areas: immigration, environmental sociology, gender, ethnography, religion, and social movements. Scholars with expertise in any geographic area of the world are invited to apply. The tenure line is housed in the Sociology Department. The position, which begins in the Fall of 2012, entails half-time teaching in International Studies, which is an undergraduate major, and half-time graduate and undergraduate teaching in the Department of Sociology.

Potential applicants should email one attached pdf document containing the following: a cover letter that describes your research and teaching accomplishments and plans, current CV, and 2 pieces of recent scholarship.
