Responsibilities The Master of Public Health program at DePaul University invites applications for a tenure track position at the rank of assistant professor. The responsibilities of the position include teaching at the graduate level and across the MPH curriculum, an active scholarly research agenda, and service contributions.
The mission of the MPH program is to prepare public health leaders to work collaboratively with diverse communities to prevent disease and ill-health, prioritize and investigate health concerns, achieve lasting social change, and foster health equity to promote the health and well-being of all people. The MPH Program has one concentration: Community Health Practice. The program trains students to design, implement, and evaluate interventions in applied settings, focusing on prevention, program development, and health promotion through a lens of cultural humility.
Required Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a MPH and doctoral degree in Public Health or related field (e.g., anthropology, geography, sociology). She/he will be able to demonstrate excellence in teaching, a commitment to professional graduate education and mentoring, relevant public health practice experience, scholarly productivity, and research interests that address urban, community-health issues from a social justice perspective.
