The Criminal Justice Program at Wells College invites applications for a two-year Visiting Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice position to start Fall 2015. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching core courses in Criminology, Criminal Justice, and Corrections. While areas of specialization are open, the committee is eager to review materials from candidates who teach courses that emphasize intersections of race, class, and gender within the criminal justice system and that could contribute to the development of a Social Work minor. Applicants should be committed to innovative teaching, investigative learning, conscientious advising, and their own continuing intellectual vitality. An earned Ph.D. in Criminal Justice, Criminology, or a related field is preferred. Applicants without a terminal degree will be considered at the rank of Visiting Lecturer.
