The Department of Sociology and Criminology seeks to fill a one year Visiting position at the Assistant Professor or Instructor level. The Ph.D. is preferred at the time of appointment, but ABD will be considered. Appointment will be effective fall semester 2015. Applicants should have primary teaching and research experience in Criminology with specialization in Victimization, Globalization, and Policy. Secondary areas of teaching and research are welcome. Teaching responsibilities include a 4/4 load. The successful applicant is expected to exhibit excellence in undergraduate teaching. Applicants should submit the following materials: 1) curriculum vita, 2) original transcripts, 3) a writing sample or copy of a recent publication, 4) samples of course syllabi, 5) a letter of application which indicates a commitment to the liberal arts and describes the applicants research plans, and 6) three letters of reference.
