Has anyone heard anything about the open AP position? (not the Asst/Assoc for Gero)

I haven't heard anything - seems like someone should have by this point. Nothing surprises me anymore. They are probably on spring break so we might hear something next week.

Did phone interviews last week and on campus next week, spring break in two weeks. Seems like getting that one done first and then the next, but unclear.

Just got word on the other search that all searches frozen for the time being. Unsure of the general position, but my impression it was an overall hiring freeze.

Does this just apply to Central Connecticut State University, or would it apply to all institutions in the CT State system? Southern CT State University is/was hiring a general criminologist.

No idea. My impression in March was that there was a freeze on new lines but that searches authorized to continue would go forward. New info suggests that the freeze expanded to already authorized searches. However, the lines at CCSU were both new TT lines, whereas my understanding of the SoConn line was that it is a replacement line, so that might make a difference. However, this is almost pure speculation.
