The Department of Sociology and Anthropology at Colgate University invites applications for a one-year visiting position in sociology at the level of Assistant Professor, to commence in the Fall 2015 semester (Ph.D. expected by time of appointment). The Department expects to hire one to two candidates, and competitive applicants would have expertise in one or more of the following areas: Criminology and Deviance, Environment, Gender and Sexuality, Immigration, Medicine, Race and Ethnicity, and Urban Sociology. Teaching duties will include Introduction to Sociology. All Colgate University faculty are expected to participate in all-University programs, which includes the Liberal Arts Core Curriculum.
Review of applications will begin March 1, 2015 and continue until the position is filled.
