The Marywood University Department of Social Sciences invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin August 2015.
Qualified candidates will possess specializations in one or more of the following areas: crime mapping; social network analysis; forensics; criminal justice agency administration (policing, courts or corrections); criminal investigation.
Responsibilities include: teaching courses in the candidate’s areas of specialization and in the department’s core curriculum in criminal justice and sociology at the undergraduate and graduate levels; research and scholarly publication; and service to the university community. The Social Sciences Department is in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. The Department offers several undergraduate programs and a master’s program in Criminal Justice. Full-time teaching load is 21 credits per academic year.

Requirements
Educational: A Ph.D. in criminology, criminal justice, sociology or related field is required. Candidates who are ABD will be considered, with the expectation that the degree will be completed by August 2015.
Work Experience Requirements: Experience with criminal justice agencies is desirable.
