The Department of Sociology & Criminal Justice at Delaware State University, Dover, Delaware invites applications for two tenure-track positions at the Assistant/Associate Professor level beginning Fall semester 2015. Qualifications: An earned Doctorate in Criminology or Criminal Justice, teaching experience and evidence of, or promise for, scholarly productivity is required. Experience developing and teaching online courses is preferred.
The successful candidates for these positions will be required to teach a broad range of undergraduate courses, including but not limited to Introduction to Criminal Justice, Criminology, Law Enforcement and/or Criminal Law. Strong quantitative research skills and experience teaching statistics is also desired.
In addition to teaching, successful candidates will be expected to develop new courses in their specialties to enhance and strengthen the current curricula; actively engage in grant seeking and in individual and/or collaborative research and publications; advise students; and serve on Department and University committees. Rank will be commensurate with qualifications, experience and accomplishments. Candidates must be able to successfully complete a background check.
