I didn't know Marquette had a search going this year in sociology... I'm totally bummed if I somehow missed it. Can you share the posting/listing of the position?

The deadline was Oct. 1, and it was for criminology, I think? I can't find the ad, perhaps pulled once the date passed, but it's in my files as a criminology position due Oct. 1st.

Thanks so much, no ad! The crim focus explains why I'm not remembering it. Good luck!

Thank you! If it wasn't crim, they're going to be very confused when they get my letter. Ha.

I got an email today asking me to answer 2 questions (about teaching and about contributing to an interdisciplinary department) as they proceed with the search process...

The two questions were submitted last Wednesday, suggesting that the SC would've decided within 3 working days to call people for interviews. A little fast, in my view. From what I've seen in the past, the faculty votes as a collective on who to bring out. That happened last year in early-November.
