University of Wisconsin Oshkosh Department of Sociology seeks a tenure-track assistant professor beginning September 1, 2015. Successful candidate will have commitment to undergraduate teaching, research, and service. Area of specialization is open, though preference will be given to candidates specializing in environmental sociology or gerontology. Commitment to public sociology and experience in applied sociology, service learning, and overseeing internships also desirable. Strong preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated effectiveness in university-level teaching and ability to teach research methods, introductory sociology, and upper level courses in candidate’s area of expertise. Deadline: November 1, 2014. Position requires Ph.D. in sociology by time of appointment, advising majors, research agenda, and program development.
