The Department of Sociology at the University of California, Davis invites applicants for a Tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Crime, Law, Deviance, and Social Control to begin July 1, 2015. The position is at the Assistant Professor level (salary commensurate with experience). We seek a scholar with a strong commitment to research and teaching. Teaching duties include four courses per academic year (quarter system) at the introductory, advanced undergraduate, and graduate level. Supervision of graduate students, student advising, curricular development, and performance of University service are also expected. The successful candidate must have a completed Ph.D. by the first day of courses (September 24, 2015).
