It also asks if you ever had a moving violation.....that's odd. Any thoughts?

Explanation: People in the HR office making policies without a real understanding of faculty hires. If the department likes you, they'll hire you with or without a moving violation.
At my own university, the HR folks often have previous work experience at places like Pepsi where they are hiring people to work on the line or drive trucks. When they come to a university, they often don't understand how faculty hires are done ("Why can't the interview be done over Skype to save money?... You need a full day to interview someone!?!?" "Why can't the Chair just make the decision? Why does the whole department have to see the application materials for the interviewees?" It's ridiculous.
