It is a TT Assistant Professor position in qualitative methods and theory

From their HR page:

The successful candidate will teach five courses annually (reduced to four courses in the first year), including one qualitative research methods course, one contemporary sociological theory course, and other courses in areas of the applicant's expertise. Includes mentoring senior thesis projects.

Candidates are expected to be highly committed to excellence in both undergraduate teaching and scholarly research. New courses and potential contributions to Davidson College's interdisciplinary departments and programs (including Africana Studies, Asian Studies, Environmental Studies, Gender and Sexuality Studies, and Latin American Studies) will be viewed favorably.

Please submit a letter of application (which should include both a statement of research and a brief description of potential courses), curriculum vitae, sample syllabi of courses applicant is prepared to offer, evidence of excellence in undergraduate teaching, and the names and contact information for three references who have agreed to provide letters of recommendation. Applications received by October 15th will receive fullest attention.
